SDS Career Assessment
A career assessment is a great way to see if a health career is right for you. The Self-Directed Search (SDS) career skills assessment helps both adults and high school students to evaluate their career options. The SDS allows each participant to choose careers and fields of study that best match their self-reported interest and skills.
Medical Terminology Course
If you are interested in taking this assessment, you may contact Jill Niemczyk at Northeastern WI Area Health Education Center (NEWAHEC) to set up an appointment. NEWAHEC provides the SDS Career Assessment free of charge to students within their region. The total time for the career skills assessment and findings would be 30 to 45 minutes per person. You may also take the Self-Directed Search (SDS) on your own Online Self-Directed Search for a cost of $9.95. Taking a Medical Terminology course is another tool that can be used to indicate if a career in Health Care is appropriate for you.
